Chester Basin 250th Anniversary

Re-enactment of the New Ross Freighters took place on Saturday, August 14, 8 am to Sunday, August 15. about 3 pm

Eight teams of oxen and their teamsters travelling 24km from Ross Farm to Chester Basin over two days. Two teams at a time will pull wagons of products.

• Lunch stops in Seffernsville and Chester Grant
• Overnight in Chester Grant area
• Various photo opportunities
• Ninth team from Ross Farm will join group in Chester basin
• This team will pull the load of barrels to the wharf and then off-load to a Tancook Whaler, which will then go out to sea
